I recall reading that plugging surge suppressors into one another can cause them to clamp down as if there's a surge due to drawing too much power from the first surge suppressor. However, in the configuration I desire the LE1200/600 would only have to power a router, modem, SB laptop, two rather small bose desk speakers, a few external HDDS, and possibly(it's not necessary) an HP 2575 all-in-one. I would plug the router/modem/laptop into the LE1200/600, the rest into a Belkin surge suppressor. So, the overall power draw would be rather low from the Belkin and so I'm curious whether or not the LE1200 would be fine within that situation.
Also, the equipment plugged into the Belkin isn't all that critical. It could fry and I wouldn't shed any tears. No doubt within this configuration any devices plugged into the Belkin would not be covered by APC, or Belkin. With that in mind, would the equipment warranty cover the devices directly plugged into the LE1200(the router/modem/laptop) even though a surge suppressor is also plugged into it?

Thanks for responding. For the past two days those links bring me to a page notifying that the site is under maintenance. I delayed responding hoping that a short wait would allow me to respond in full to the information you've provided. I'll keep checking and update once I've been able to read it.

here is our knowledge base on daisy chaining in general which is maybe what you reviewed: http://www.apc.com/support/index?page=content&id=FA157424
i think for your situation it'd be OK to do what you suggest, considering the rating of everything involved, but i can't say for sure because i don't work in claims if something were to happen. my gut tells me though that we'd support any claims on anything directly connected to the LE600 or LE1200.
here is a link to the EPP policy though: http://www.apc.com/site/support/US/en/service/epp
P.S. - I forgot, the whole thing might be supported if you plug an APC surge protector in, rather than belkin and everything is APC equipment.

at least on the first one, try to search for FA157424 @ http://www.apc.com/site/support/index.cfm/faq/
i can't do much on the second one. we just switched our knowledge base over to a new tool and website so i think some of the links are being worked on.
