I am familiar with battery backups, but have never used one. I am assisting a small business owner with his BU units. He did not set up his units, so is not familiar with them either. The question is this - is it possible to swap out the battery in a backup unit with a new battery without interrupting power to devices connected to the battery backup unit?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Rick,
It is possible to swap out the battery and not interrupt power to the device on most models in the Back UPS range.
Do you know what model UPS the business owner has purchased?
Regards,
Tom

Hi Rick,
The battery in the Back UPS Pro 1300 is hot swappable. This means that the battery can be replaced without affecting power to the devices attached to the UPS.
Regards,
Tom
