Battery icon is empty and flashing. This morning UPS was clicking on and off battery. UPS is at 17% load. Disconnected AC and laptop plugged into UPS and removed batteries and pressed power for 5 sec. Reconnected everything. No change. Screen states 12 min run time.

Measured battery voltage at 12.1v each battery (24.2 across both) while disconnected from UPS.

What is this thing trying to tell me?

Back-UPS Pro is the product family the unit is a member of. The specific model number is present on a small white sticker along with the serial number. This sticker can be found on the bottom of the unit.

The Flashing battery bar graph is indicating that the unit is not detecting the internal battery. (Is this a newly installed unit?)

Has the unit ever been in operation or has the battery icon been flashing from day one?

Can you describe the method in which you inserted and removed the battery from the unit? (Was the unit flipped upside down or laid on it's side?)

Additionally, if you could provide the model and serial number this will be helpful.
