New Back-Ups Pro 1300 and 1500 BR1300G, BR1500G, differences from BR1500LCD

Hi everybody,

This is my first post to APC. I am a longtime Belkin UPS user, whose UPSes have finally died. Now that Belkin is out of the UPS business, I am looking to go with APC.

I am interested in one of the higher-end personal UPS products, such as the Back-UPS RS BR1500LCD.

However, i saw the Back-UPS Pro 1000 (BR1000G) and was intrigued by its new styling and features. Can anybody explain the precise differences between the Back-UPS Pro (BR) series and the RS LCD series, other than the fact that the RS series has been around longer and uses a red LCD panel?

I found the BX (aka XS) versions, BX1000G, BX1300G, and BX1500G at my local office stores, but no BR versions. Also, the BR1000G is readily available online, but the BR1300G and BR1500G appear to be mostly unavailable in the US. I am not sure if I should wait for them or should just go with one of the more widely available models.
