I have just replaced the battery on this unit and having plugged it in, then unit acts like it is unplugged for a brief moment, then a clicking noising is heard (like perhaps it it switching to AC power) then it repeats the on-battery-power-beeping-then-clicking.
Anyone have an idea what is going on?
The AC power is good, as I've been able to use it to test/repair/recharge other UPS before.

Here is some additional information:
When the unit is plugged in and no lights are on, with a 100W bulb plugged into the battery back up slot:
-there is a slight buzzing noise that can be heard, presumably from the AC-DC conversion process.
-If I simply push the button the unit will beep and nothing may happen, it may turn on.
-if I push and hold the button for ~10 seconds, the unit will flash all 4 lights maybe 4 or 5 times, then on release the unit turns on.
-when the unit is turned on the attached bulb is lit, 'On Battery' light is lit and the 'On Power' light flashes for a few seconds(then finally turns off), the relay clicks immediately when it is turned on. Once the 'On-Line' light has stopped flashing, the 4-beeps-every-30-seconds starts.
When the unit is plugged in and no lights are on, with a 100W bulb plugged into the surge protection: slot:
-when power is attached, the buzzing noise is heard and the light turns on, even though the unit is turned off
-If I push the power button, the relay clicks, the 'On Battery' light is lit and the 'On Power' light flashes for a few seconds(then finally turns off). Once the 'On-Line' light has stopped flashing, the 4-beeps-every-30-seconds starts.
in either case, leaving the unit on results in:
light stays on, the unit begins to:
-beep every 30 seconds (up to 4 times) and randomly clicks(the relay switching). When the unit clicks, then 4-beeps/30 seconds restarts. Sometimes is clicks in the middle of the 4 beeps, sometimes not.
I have PC Enterprise Edition available, but haven't yet plugged it in to that as the computer with it on it is locked by another co-worker.
Will advise when I get a chance to look at it.

According to PCEE, it doesn't recognize the unit.
According to PCPE.. the voltage varies, but not enough to trigger the battery.
