Hi everyone, I recently bought an RS-800 and I am very very happy with it. Now on summer time, at home, light flickers every now and then and my PC works flawlessly.
However I would also like to protect the power supply of my linksys router. I've already broke a previous one within less then one year and would like to make sure this doesn't happen again with the new one. It is a standard one, then only issue is that it does not have a C14/C13 plug, but rather a power transformer from 220V AC to 12V DC that plugs into the wall. I would like to protect it through the UPS, either on the battery UPS inlets or the power surge ones. I suppose there has to be a special power cord and I would like where to find one as Googling around I could not find the correct name or specifications for it (so many codes that I am not familiar with).
Also, I would like to hear about your suggestions for using the ethernet and coaxial protection, all I have is ADSL and a CableModem for redundancy, plus the mentioned Linksys router for wireless access at the house.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Willie.

Hi! Sorry for my late answer I was on travel. Here I attach a couple of pictures to explain as requested. The DC plug goes to the router and the box mounts on the wall. I attached two pictures as any of format of the wall plug is okay as I can plug them both.
So what I would like to know is if there is a possibility to plug the power adapter to the UPS (or another special adapter supporting the same specifications).
If there is some type of adapter, even unsupport, I would appreciate names so I can do my research.
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately there are no currently manufactured SKU's available from APC that will fit your need. We did have a model named "INPA" which was an international plug adapter, and it could adapt/switch to many of the common plug types found across the globe. If you can find one at a reseller or on discount somewhere you may want to look into this as an option. There is obviously no way to connect the small DC input cable or any part before the transformer block to the UPS; the UPS is AC only.
APC cannot recommend any specific models or solutions from another company, unfortunately. CDW, NewEgg.com, PC Mall, or a local electronics retailer should have something that fits your need.
