Need BR800i Wakeup Delay

Dear Support Team,

I am Home User but normally left my computer run 24/7 so I need UPS that can shutdown and restart itself. And this is my main reason to buy APC BR800i with PCPE. But after test it with some power outage situations, I found a situation that need your advice and solution. Below are steps to that situation...

#1 Power Outage Start
#2 BR800i switch to Battery Mode
#3 Power still down so PCPE command computer and UPS to turn off itself
#4 Hibernate Begin and Computer now Turn Off
#5 UPS still ON but it is in Turn Off Delay Period
#6 "SUDDENLY THE AC POWER BACK" BEFORE the UPS going to Sleep Mode
#7 Even the Power is now available, UPS Still going to turn itself off and immediately Turn On.
#8 Power is now Restart..... But COMPUTER NOT TURN ON AS IT SHOULD BE

At first I thought that my computer BIOS "AC RESTART" is not setting correctly. But finally I found that to make computer restart as Power Back, Power should be OFF at least 15 seconds to make mainboard completely drain off power. And I tested with another of my new PCs and they also work like this too.

Anyhow Computer doesn't restart is not only my concern, because if...

#9 Power outage occur again, and UPS Going to Battery Mode
#10 But Computer is off and Power Outage now going for long long time
#11 Because without Computer on, PCPE can't send turnoff command to APC UPS.
#12 Finally UPS's Battery now completely drain and UPS Finally Shutdown

**I don't know that BR800i have minimum requirement of %Battery left to Restart itself or not... if not
#13 AC is now BACK, UPS is turn on again but with no battery, PC now finally turn on.
#14 With Very Bad Luck Day, AC POWER OUTAGE suddenly OCCUR AGAIN and UPS's Battery got NO POWER LEFT...
#15 Computer OFF suddenly Because UPS has no battery left.........

Even this situation maybe rarely, but it is possible to occur. And it is UPS basic job to handle this kind of event. So I think at step#7, if and only if, BR800i has the factory default wakeup delay for at least 30 seconds - 1 minutes. This will change everything.. because with delay now at #8 All Computer will restart as it should be.. and even if power outage occur again but now Computer is run and PCPE can send turnoff command to Computer and UPS.

So here is my questions.
1. Is there any possible to make BR800i got wakeup delay?
2. Is BR800i got any minimum %Battery requirement to make it start? so Step#13 will not happen.

After I search apc site, I found these features only available only in Smart Series. But I think any model with PCPE should have this as standard too. Because in my opinion, person who bought APC UPS with PCPE. Certainly want to protect their PC when they are not there. And these features are crucial to normal power protection.

Thanking for your advice, and wish to have solution to my problem.

Let me just add some points to your post...

If the BR800I does not have the features which you have tested, then there is no way to make the BR800I to have these features. I do agree with your input. I think that the Back UPS which uses Simple signaling may not have these features.

Yes, you are correct that the Smart UPS series have got these functionalists.
