My CS 500 is not doing its job. When the power goes out, so does my computer. The software tells me that "Your battery backup is operating normally" and I have 23 min. of estimated battery time.
Double and triple checked all connections. Any ideas?

If you don't see the two different types of outlets, make sure you have removed the large yellow "Please Remove this Sticker" sticker that covers the battery back-up outlets. Its a common setup issue where users do not notices the sticker, and can't find the battery back-up outlets.

Are you certain your computer is plugged into the correct outlet? The CS 500 have two sets of outlets, bypass and backup power. After ensuring the computer is connected to the proper outlet, but would not run on battery when you unplug the UPS, your UPS or its battery is bad.

What's plugged into what? Try plugging in a lamp or alarm clock on the battery back-up outlets and see if it stays up when you pull the plug. Also, please make sure that you don't have a power strip connected to the output receptacles of the UPS.

Hi,
How long have you had the CS500 for? Can you look on the bottom of the unit and get me the exact model and serial number?
Can you remember if the unit ever worked in the past?
