How can I know what is the manufacturing date of my APC BR 900 GI model ?

the 900's serial No is :

3A1230X01742

Ronen,

The 3rd - 6th characters in the serial number equal the manufacture year and week. SYour serial number is 12 = 2012 and 30 = 3rd week of July.

Is it normal to recive this UPS 7 months after manufacturing date ?

P.s : I live in Israel , the local dealer say that the product is "fresh"

They usually make their way from manufacturing to distribution in about 3 months and then maybe 1-2 months after that at a local retailer's shelf. It also depends on the model maybe how quickly they move off the shelf. I think 7 months is a little on the higher side but we'd warranty it 3 years from the purchase date in case there are any problems. Just make sure to keep your proof of purchase

In your serial NO.

12 = years that mean in  2012

30 = week that mean 30 weeks of year

note: one year = 52 weeks

manufacturing date of ups is August 2012
