MGE Pulsar Extreme 1000c shut down

Hi all!

I have been given the aforementioned ups and connected it to my pc. Its been recoginzed by the usb connection and i can see some details of it. My problem is that when i shut my pc down i want the ups to stop working too. Unfortunately it doesnt; and even when i push the IO button to turn it off, its fan still works and makes a disturbing noise.

Do i miss something regarding the ups' operation?

Thanks in advance 🙂

I don't know much about Eaton's UPSes such as the one you have, but that may be normal operation. The power button on APC UPSes only turns the output on and off. The battery charger needs to remain running to prolong the battery life.
