Looking for suggestions for 2 new SMX1500RM2UC units
Recently purchased 2 ea SMX1500RM2UC units. Environment is 1 Dell server, ESXi (licensed) with 4 Windows server VM's, one IBM Power9 system, 2 Windows 10 workstations and one Linux server. Also multiple switches, routers. Presently, both units are connected via USB to workstations. I have written, and tested, a Powershell script that is run 15 minutes after power loss and shuts down all VM's and then the ESXi system, as well as other workstations. Haven't figured out how to do the P9 yet.
Looking for some advice for best practices, not fond of relying on someone's cloud but not really opposed. Considering the Network shutdown application but undecided. What are others doing/recommending? Thanks.
