Just Installed Powerchute Serial Shutdown Problems with it?

Hello There

Just Updated to using Powerchute serial shutdown program.

keep getting your connection isn't private when i goto Open the program

Well my network is set for Private

OS is Windows 11 Pro

Antivirus: Windows Security

Malwarebytes Premium

OS Completely up to date

Comcast Xfinity Internet

I'm not an expert, i would expect this software to just work

Why can't this software be as easy to use as old Powerchute Software?

I assume this is about the Web Browser displaying the 'Your connection is not private' error?

This happens because PowerChute Serial Shutdown generates a self-signed SSL certificate for secure communications between the browser and the PowerChute Serial Shutdown server application. Just click 'Advanced' button and then click 'Proceed to localhost (unsafe)' link, and you will not get this error again next time you open the Web User Interface.

Does my UPS Device even support Powerchute Serial Shutdown?

APC Battery Backup

BN1350M2

And Yes it is about the browser displaying that message as i didn't feel it was safe to continue, but if it is, then i may go ahead and reinstall this software in that case in coming days, after i get a system image backup done to be on safe side i think

Yes, BN1350M2 (APC Back-UPS Pro 1350) should work with PowerChute Serial Shutdown.
