Hi, please move if i have posted in the wrong section. My question is i recently bought a APC j10 power conditioner / battery backup. I love the large size and weight. Seems like a solid piece of equipment. Some of the menus dont seem to work perfectly as they are suppose to (i believe this is common on this model, such as screensaver not doing anything). I can look all past that. The problem i am having is i cannot get the main round blue LED on the front to dim / turn off. I have gotten the display and the other 4 blue leds to turn off but i cannot get that to turn off. This is used in a home theater application so i like the room to be dark during movie watching. My front panel actually arrived a little scratched so they are sending a replacement, maybe the possibility that the net led dimmer option will turn that down/ off? Please post some help i would hate to have to use a sharpie to block that blue light out haha. I can post pictures if necessary

yeah i was expecting as so but someone in a h15 discussion said theirs dimmed. Really disappointing as this thing was made for home theater application and it does not have a full dimming option. It is going to look real cheesy having a piece of cardboard taped over it. Is there anyway i can disconnect the light? It is extremely distracting when watching a movie. I could put a book in front of it but doing that each time i watch a movie is ridiculous. I have a $5000 + home theater so presentation is important to me. I wish they would let em keep the scratched faceplate when then send the new one so i could experiment with spraying a heat resistant ring of black over that led. But alas they said they were sending a return box as well. Something that was suppose to give me ease of mind in my home theater system has just given me a minor headache. Given the unit function greats and looks great its just i do not like a flashlight in my peripheral vision during a movie.
