APC doesn't provide technical details to end users like us. If it is under warranty, I'd suggest setting up a return for repair. If it isn't under warranty, you'd need to consider the trade-off of a repair vs. a replacement unit. The official non-warranty repair facility is [Coastal Business Machines|http://coasttec.com/].
Some end users here have performed component-level repair. The only thing I'd caution is that when some parts fail, they often take other parts with them and it may not be obvious which was cause, which was effect, and all of the parts that need to be replaced. You can replace the obvious parts, plug it back in, and have the same problem happen again right away.
