How to silence On Battery beeping for BackUPS 350G

Bought this unit to supply power to a few small devices. However, now I discover
that it appears to beep annoyingly whenever its on battery, which I DON'T like.

Also, there doesn't appear to be any USB jack or any way to connect it to a computer
to use PowerChute to shut the beeps off.

Do I need to take it back? I'm tempted just to open it up and disable the speaker
even though it's brand new.

I saw some reference to holding the power button down for 10 seconds to go
into programming mode but the reference I saw was to setting voltage levels
for some purpose, not silencing the beeps.

Who wants some crazy beeping whenever the power flickers? I have it disabled in my
Smart UPSses but I figured I didn't need to spend so much money for the other
small devices I have.

Unfortunately there is nothing much that we can do for this unit in order for you to mute/silence the alarm.
