How to Know Whether to Replace Battery or Unit

Hello!

We have several APC units where I work and I am checking into just replacing the batteries in the units instead of purchasing new unit. I have been going through all the ups units that we want to replace the battery and noticed some of the units will not even power on if plugged. Some units power on but indicate that the battery needs replacing. On the units that wont even power on could the issue be the unit itself and replacing the battery would not help? How to know forn sure if the issue is the battery or unit?

hello,

depending on the model, some turn on with no battery, some do not. too bad it is not consistent 😞 but if you can check the models on those, i could better make a recommendation if its the unit or battery.
