How often does BRG1300G perform self-tests?
How often does the BRG1300G perform self-tests? Some other units are on 7 or 14 day intervals, but the manual for the 1300G doesn't specify (as far as I can tell). It's reporting the battery needs changing, which I believe is a mistake (it's happened before), it's a relatively new unit.
I know that I can perform a manual self-test by holding power for 6 seconds. I am hesitant to do that. The timing must be very specific, the last few times I tried it the unit powered off along with everything connected to it. I'd rather that not happen again, this unit has a server connected to it. I'm fine with waiting for it to self-test on it's own, if it in fact does it. It's been about a week since I first started receiving "Battery needs changing NOW" emails.
Is it possible to initiate a self-test from the Linux command line?
