Hi, Two months ago mi almost three years old APC PRO 1000 (BR1000G) shuts off power supply, start a loud continuous beep and display the message "F06", I check the manual and this fault belongs to "Relay Welding", I thought it was a sporadic fault but today do it again.
Anyone has had the same problem? How do you fix it?
Excuse me for my bad english 🙂
Alfonso
Mexico.

Hi Alfonso,
The relay weld references the Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) relay typically. This relay moves when the AVR function is used in the UPS (boosting or trimming the voltage). Do you notice your UPS on AVR mode often? If so, it could "weld" or get suck if it is being used so often but even if it is not, it typically requires the UPS to be replaced - whether under warranty or by the user (or via Trade UPS program perhaps). This is a mechanical relay that is no longer functioning properly. It can also be temporarily cleared as you've found but likely will come back if your UPS tries to go to AVR mode to boost/trim for low/high input voltage respectively.

Thanks Angela, I already contacted an APC service center here in Mexico, I'll take the UPS with this guys to replace the relay.
Thanks a lot!
