F05 error
I have a Back-UPS Pro 1500 that powers on and then displays a F05 error for a few seconds and immediately shuts off. Is this a battery issue or something more involved?

Hi @Chris22
F05 pertains to a Charger Fault. Unfortunately, this is not user replaceable. The UPS needs to be replaced. You may want to reach out to your local support should you need further assistance.

Thanks Mike, I suspected as much when I pulled the battery and found liquid inside. Not sure if something was spilled or if that was from the battery? Either way, it's going to e-waste.

Hate to disagree, but all I did was change battery and voila, no more error. To test, I put bad battery in another SmartUPS Pro 1500 and got same error.

Hate to be contrarian, but I took the battery out of my Pro 2500 that had the error and put it in another. Error followed battery. Bought new battery and tested in both units. No error. My 2 cents, it is the battery.
