Have a new Back-UPS 1300. Page 4 of the manual indicates LCD shawdow mask displays KVA. However cycling through the display, KVA is never displayed, just Load in Watts.
What is the button sequence to display KVA?
Cheers,

I checked http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/EALN-7V5MXA/EALN-7V5MXA_R1_EN.pdf which I assume is what you found and also checked an actual UPS I have access to. I also did not see it on the actual unit's LCD upon cycling through and I don't see it described as an item on the LCD (besides in the screenshot of the LCD). I don't think it should be in the user's guide cause I don't think it is really an item you can view for this particular UPS unfortunately. I wonder if they just put it there thinking it might be supported some day or if it is just an error..
So, I don't think you missed anything and it does not appear that kVA is available.

Aside from this being a probable oversight in the documentation according to Angela, often times a manufacturer will utilize the same display component - in this case a backlit display panel - in numerous models of ups/system. I have seen this many times where some indicator on the display does not apply to the particular model so it "just never gets lit up" !

Thanks.
As I said the UPS just arrived. After letting it acclimate to indoor temps overnight, I plugged it in and turned it on with no loads. Cycled through the Display and thought I saw either a 0 or blank VA reading. I was on the floor without my glasses so anything is possible. After loading it up, cycled through the display again and VA was missing. Checked the manual, there was no reference to VA, other than the picture of the LCD backlit panel.
Thanks for both responses.
