BR1000G Controlled not working with Mac Mini

I have a new BR1000G a Mac Mini plugged in Master, monitor plugged in controlled outlet

a) monitor powers off when Mini goes to sleeps

b) monitor does NOT wake up when Mini wakes up

c) it is not a mode of the monitor, the monitor power switch does not restart the monitor (ie - outlet is still unpowered)

d) I have, maybe, reprogrammed the threshold on the BR1000G, per the instructions, no difference

e) however, the instructions say the BR1000G will flash the leaf icon 3 times, and beep 3 times. It does NOT beep 3 times, so I do not know if the threshold is changed (the leaf does blink 3 times)

If the leaf is flashing 3 times then the threshold should be changing. Do you know what the Mini is drawing while running and what it is drawing while in sleep mode? If the difference between the two is small then the UPS may not distinguish between them and not restore power to the outlets.

A few things you could try are, 1 - increase the draw on the master outlet and watch to see if the controlled outlets power up. 2 - If you have a laptop or other system that is running Windows or have Windows emulation on the Mini you could check the setting using PowerChute Personal Edition.

I am a little confused, it tells you to put the mini in Sleep, or OFF, before you set the threshold, doesn't that just teach it what OFF looks like ????

It knows what OFF looks like, it has no trouble turning OFF, I would think I need to teach it ON

????
