Hi and happy new year! I was reading the safety instructions that came with my BE750G and some questions about the deenergizing section. It says:
If the equipment has an internal energy source (the battery), the output may be energized when the unit is not connected to an AC power outlet. To deenergize pluggable equipment: first press the Off button for more than one second to switch the equipment off. Next disconnect the equipment from the AC power outlet. Finally, disconnect the battery.
I haven't used or connected the battery yet. Do I need to deenergize the battery after connecting it for the first time and/or everytime after I unplug the UPS from the outlet? If not, how should I know when to deenergize it?

You do not need to de-energize the unit when connecting/using the unit for the first time, or even when you need to turn the UPS off or unplug it from the outlet. The only times you would need to "de-energize" one of our Back-UPS units is if you plan on travelling with it or transporting it in any way, per Department of Transportation regulation. Additionally, disconnecting the battery and leaving the unit off (effectively de-energizing it) would probably be the best way to store the unit for a few months if storing it is absolutely necessary.
