Hi everyone.
I'm not sure if my concern is already answered.
Last year(Jan 2013 to be exact), I purchased a UPS ES 500 VA. So far I didn't encounter any problem with it until this week. My UPS are connected with my CPU,monitor and a linksys router switch. Just this week, my unit were bit strange. Before, when I unplug my UPS, there is still few minutes delay before it turn off but this week, when i accidentally unplug the socket, my computer suddenly shutdown, didn't beep at all.
Normally, I plugged my UPS in the evening when I get home from 6-pm until the morning when I leave home. I usually unplug it without turning it off the UPS when I leave at home. (Do you think I'm wrong on what I did by unplugging )
When I unplugged my UPS, there is beeping sounds - 4 times every 30 seconds.
Just this morning, when I tried to plug my UPS, it turned on but after 2-4 seconds, it beeps continuously and the led indicator is blinking continuously too.
I also tried pressing the "Circuit Breaker" button to reset but nothing happens. Problem still the same.
I also tried removing few loads on the UPS. Since there are 3-socket were plugged to my UPS(Monitor, CPU and linksys router.), I tried removing my router so there will be two loads on it. But still problem the same.
I tried charging my UPS fro few more hours. After 4-hours of charing, it tried switching on- problem is still the same. Continuous beeping and blinking the LED light.
Can you tell me on how/what I'm going to do with it? Any advice please.
Thank you and Looking forward to hear a positive response regarding this matter the soonest time possible.

A UPS should be left plugged in all the time - that's how it keeps the battery charged in the event of a power outage. The "4 beeps every 30 seconds" you were hearing when you unplugged the UPS was it switching over to and running on battery power. With the constant cycle the unit was in, of charging the battery up to 100% then discharging when it was unplugged from the wall, it sounds like the battery is dead and would need to be replaced.
I would highly recommend keeping the UPS plugged in even if you're not using the equipment that's connected to it. The UPS draws very little power to keep itself running, and the charging of the unit is intelligent and designed to maximize both the runtime the unit will give you on battery, and the life of the battery itself.
