Constant buzzing noise of BE550G-GR even when device is off

Hi,

I have just bought my first ups, BE550G-GR. It emits a weak but constant buzzing sound for about 10 sec and then pauses for one part of a sec and then again continues for about 10 sec etc. The sound is present whenever the device is plugged into mains power, even when the ups is turned off (all lights on it are off). The battery is fully charged, i.e. I havent turned off the device for several days. It is a weak noise but constant which can get annoying. Is this sound normal for this ups?
