I know there has to be a good reason for this, and having misplaced my manual as to what should be plugged in where re the master switch etc., maybe I have it done incorrectly, but all of a sudden my iMac won't stay asleep. Never had a problem before and don't know what could be causing it? Even if the fault is not with the APC unit, I still need a refresher course on what goes where. I found the manual online but the schematics that I saw did not seem to clear this up.
Any help would be really greatly appreciated.
List of items hooked up to my computer are:
A hub as the computer only has 3 usb ports.
Two printers
A scanner
Keyboard (of course)
Wacom tablet
ipod
camera connection
WD - external drive

Don't see a little white sticker, but it does say ES750 on the top? The OS is Mac OSX 10.6.4. Unfortunately I have to use the hub as e.g. my Wacom tablet will not operate unless it is plugged directly into the computer, and with only three ports and having that many peripherals something(s) need to be plugged into a hub and the hub of course needs to be plugged into the computer. I did disconnect my - as that does not like the hub, and I am constantly getting the error message that it was not properly disconnected etc. etc., and it appears and reappears in my finder constantly. It also works perfectly if plugged directly into the computer, but as mentioned with only three ports that is impossible.
I have been watching it, and at times I think the situation has been remedied since disconnecting the -, but then again sometimes not. I will have to pay careful attention to what is open and what is not when it starts acting up. Sadly I very rarely close down either Photoshop or Illustrator as these are my "bread and butter" and while I can and do save my work as I go, if I close the file completely to enable the quitting of Photoshop, I will lose my history on the file on which I am working.
No choice though. Starting this evening I will shut all applications down and make sure that the right bits are in the right connections on the APC unit. (Right now I do not have the computer plugged into the "main" outlet as that was causing some issues as well a while back.)
Sigh... will start from scratch and see if by a process of elimination I can solve this. Thank you very much for responding.
