Cannot uninstall PowerChute Personal Edition 2.2 on Windows 7

Hi,
My unit failed and I am unable to uninstall PCPE v2.2 on Win7 64bit because of error 2738.
Can anyone forward me the instructions for a manual uninstall.

I once had trouble uninstalling an old version of PowerChute (forgot what it was called and it's number)- I called APC tech support and the guy had to lead me through a long, complex, edit of the registry. I was NOT happy about doing that, but it worked.

Hi,

I recently uninstalled PCPE 2.2 and having read that a lot of people were having problems uninstalling it I decided not to use the Windows uninstall.
The recommendation was to download the 2.2 software installer and run it.
It should detect that you have 2.2 installed and give you the option to uninstall it.
Worked fine for me, so worth a try.

Thanks for the link but I already tried this procedure.
I believe the problem is that my unit is "dead" and doesn't respond to the software during uninstall.
I need a procedure which doesn't communicate with the unit.
