APC EMails your ID and password for your new account unencrypted. I've been told that normal EMail is like shouting its contents on your front porch. I also noticed by default the form signup makes your EMail address public in your form messages unless your opt=out. So its clear the IT security people where not part of the committee setting up the discussion forms.
