Am trying to get the PowerChute software installed and am confused about connecting the BX1500G backup to my PC. The instructions show a picture of a cable that appears to have an ethernet connection on one end and a USB on the other. The cable that came with my unit, which is too short to be useful anyway, has the ethernet connection on both ends.
Now I am not really all that smart about this stuff but do I connect to my PC into the ehternet port or did I just get the wrong cable and need a replacement?
As an aside, finding the PowerChute download on the APC site took over an hour since the instructions in the manual are incorrect and searching the site produced too many results to be useful. This should be easy.
Rather frustrated.

Hi,
That unit should have shipped with cable 940-0127 that is RJ50 to USB A The cable connects to the rear of the UPS in the slot labeled DataPort.
This is what the cable looks like.
If the cable has been lost you can contact local support for assistance.
