I'm really frustated while typing this post. Bought the UPS on 16th Oct 2009 and charged it for more than 16 hours.Then today 17th Oct 2009 i connected my pc and installed the powerchute software and it displayed "battery charging". The all of a sudden the software displays "There is an internal fault in the battery backup. Call APC customer care and get it replaced ASAP".
I was shocked to see this msg and i called up the customer care number and they told me they will be sending a person to solve the issue after 2 days coz of the weekend. As a past satisfied user of APC i trusted them.But after this issue i may not recommend the product to anyone.

Hi Raj,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I would like to know some basic information of the which will help me resolve the issue. I would suggest you to check the battery connector of the Battery in the UPS is firmly connected to the Battery. This would ensure that the Battery is firmly connected. After confirming the battery connection kindly charge the UPS for 8 Hrs and then run the self test in the Software and let us know the result. Kindly help us with the serial no of the UPS also

got a replacement (brand new) UPS from the dealer and till now everything is fine with no problem.
