Forgive me, I'm new to this equipment and I searched the forums, but found nothing that was exactly what I have going on. I purchased an APC UPS 600VA on 7/18/20, Got set up a few days later, but now, the unit is beeping (not really a chirp). The beeps are intermittent...sometimes 2 every 30 seconds, sometimes (more often) 3 - 5 beeps with 5-10 seconds in between. What am I missing?
I have 3 items plugged into the surge side. When I shut down my computer, the beeping stops and when turning on, the beeping does not start for a while - up to 30 minutes. Can't think of any other info...can someone clear this up? Surely something I'm screwing up. Thanks.

Thanks again, Gavan.
This issue has self-resolved. The unit is no longer beeping intermittently. And better yet, we had a minor power outage yesterday and the unit performed as expected. I was able to shut down my equipment to prevent damage or data loss.
All I can figure is the battery did not have a full charge on arrival and has now had time to recover.
I have always depended on APC and am delighted with the equipment!

Hi Norma,
Is it only the computer you have plugged into the units battery protected outlets or do you have anything like a monitor or a printer attached too? Can you provide us with the specs of the equipment attached, brand and model would also be helpful.
Can you ty connect a smaller load, something like a phone charger and see if it has the same issue?

Thanks, Gavan.
Plugged into this unit (all in the batter and surge plugs are one Dell Precision Tower 3620 (4 gb NVIDIA graphics card, 2 TB SATA HD, 32 gb RAM) and two normal 27 inch monitors. Not sure what other info you would need. All told, this should not overload this unit. Beeping doesn't begin until long after start up...perhaps 1 hour or more.
After beeping for a while, I will notice after coming back into the computer room that the beeping has stopped.
I don't believe this is a load issue.

Hi Norma,
It does sound like a load issue, that computer could easily pull between 200w-700w at full load, depending on the CPU and graphic card model, high performance CPUs can be up to 200 watts, even an i5 can be 85 watts and a graphics cards vary between 65 watts to 350 watts. Can you try to disconnecting the computer and just connect the monitors for an hour our two and see if it happens.
