Not a techie so be nice.
BT is rolling out fibre and moving me to VOIP for landline.
I live in an area with little mobile phone coverage.
I bought the UPS mainly to support the ability to make calls in the event of a power outage (as phones will no longer be powered by BT/ openreach lines).
Sadly, although I can get the hub/ router to operate when the power is out ( via r the UPS) I can't seem to manage to get the landline to work during periods of power outage. The landline is operative when being powered via the UPS and the mains electricity is live.
Phone is a BTXD56Quad
Any ideas?

Almost all VOIP will come with a small UPS to provide a limited amount of operational runtime to make / receive a call.
If one isn’t present have the telco install one. You can also plug the VOIP box into your APC UPS.
Keep in mind normally there are two boxes one is the ONT the other will be a router / modem. In all cases BOTH of these devices must be on a UPS otherwise they will not work upon a lights out event.
Let me know if you have more questions. 👍
