Battery Replacement BE750G battery not able to slide out

I ordered the replacement battery for a BE750G. The outside cover comes off, but the battery appears to either have another cover on it or is permanently built into the unit and not user-replaceable.
Is the case on some of the older units?

UPDATE- I did get the battery out. It was in there so tight that I had to pry it out. 
So this note may be helpful to others with the same issue.
