BackUPS PRO 1500 - BR1500G - is DB9 possible instead of USB ?

Hi,

I bought APC BackUPS PRO 1500 model BR1500G-FR. Manufactured date 2018.

A940-0127E FCI - USB to RJ50 cable was supplied and its working fine. I couldn't find any information whether the UPS is pure USB output or can it also switch to serial comm.

I would like to use a DB9 to RJ50 - APC 940-0625A - instead of USB because the motherboard to which the UPS is connected has 2 empty serial ports.

Will the 940-0625A work with BR1500G-FR ?

Hi,

The BR1500G-FR is not compatible with the 940-0625 cable. You should use the cable the Back-UPS shipped with and PowerChute Personal Edition.
