BACK UPS 700 SL about 5-7 years old.
I just replaced the battery, but when I turn it on the REPLACE BATTERY red light starts blinking intermittently ( a few chirps every 5-10 seconds). How can I tell if the problem is a defective battery or a defective UPS? I have a VOM, but what parameters should I test for?
Thanks,
Ted

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply. I assume you are asking about a Back-UPS LS 700. If so that unit requires an RBC17 which is a 12 volt 7AH battery. A good battery should read 13 to 14 volts DC.
Again, sorry for the delayed reply.
