Hi all, I recently got back from a 3 week trip, powered up my two systems, after plugging them back in the wall. However, my second system, using the 350VA BacKUPS ES *(BE350U)* decided it no longer likes me. I noticed the light was blinking very fast ~2-4/second, anyway, to investigate the problem further, I reinstalled PowerChute, and it informs me that my battery is disconnected or missing... Well, I can see it, sitting there, plain as day, one red and one black wire connected to two terminals. Seeing as it was working before I left, I doubt it just decided to get up and kill itself.
The system runs on the UPS, but without backup, kind of defeats the point I guess, I'm strapped for cash, so replacing it is not a very good option for me at the moment. Any ideas as what it might be thinking? is there a way to reset the thing? I already tried the unplug everything, hold power button for 10 seconds trick, didn't do anything. any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
-IL

Okay...Is the UPS making a continuous beep when it is blinking Green? If possible, could you please attach a screen shot of the Power Chute software message?

Old....and never, I'd accept that as a valid problem, however, it was working fine just a few weeks ago, and was unplugged and off while I was gone, seems like an odd way for it to give up the ghost....

Is the UPS making a constant beep when the Green light is flashing? How old Is the UPS? Has the battery ever been replaced in the unit?

If possible, could you please stimulate a power failure by unplugging the UPS from the wall and check if the unit powers the connected equipment on battery mode?
If the battery is disconnected, the unit will not provide power to the connected equipment on battery mode.
Please verify if the battery is connected firmly. If the battery is connected to the unit, then the unit should not act this way. Unfortunately, there is no workaround available to fix this abnormal issue.
For your information, the BE350U's green light will flash with a constant beep if the battery needs replacement according to the below K-base document.

Yeah, I unplugged it, everything died. I brushed the contacts before posting here, and they are firmly plugged in. Just kind of shocked the battery would just die that way still not convinced truthfully, but what the heck. I'll toss a voltmeter on the battery later tonight, see if it still has any juice in it, check the contacts, then check the UPS itself. puzzling...
