Hi,
I've been running my Back-Ups ES 700 UPS without issue for a couple of years now and it's been great, saving my plugged in NAS on the few occasions I've had a power cut.
Today however, things appear to have gone a bit wrong. I tried connecting to my NAS which was showing offline, which I thought was odd. When I went to look at it, it was turned off.
I then looked at the UPS and it too was off. I turned it on and got a constant tone and the power on/battery light is flashing red.
Below are the steps I've taken, from what I could find on here.
I still get the tone and flashing red light. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Tom.
I contacted the technical support team and they got me to do a few tests. Looks like there's an issue with the battery. As the UPS is still in warranty they're sending a replacement.

Hi Steven,
This sounds like the the battery needs to be replaced in the UPS.
How old is the UPS and has the battery been replaced previously? If the battery has been replaced, when was it replaced?
If you provide the serial number of the UPS, I will be able to tell the age of it.
Regards,
Tom

Hi Tom,
The battery has never been replaced.
I purchased the UPS in January 2017.
I’m not sure which of the two numbers printed on the UPS is the serial number, so here’s both.
BE700G-UK

Many thanks
Steven

APC is doing very well. Only when the power drops, the apc makes a disturbing sound. That's how it was from the beginning. How can I make this sound stop when the power goes out?
