Back-Ups ES 550… breakdown?

Hi !

I own a Back-UPS ES 550. I changed the battery last summer. So far no problem, but today he made a sizzle / hiss and turned off most of my devices. So I unplugged it and checked the battery. When I plug it back in (without any device connected), the green light turns on, it runs for 5/6 seconds, then the green light turns off then emits a short sizzle and then a hissing sound. The red light does not come on. Is it broken?

Hi,

The unit should not do that. You should contact local support. The will provide a replacement if the unit is under warranty or recommend a replacement if the unit is not under warranty.
