I have a Back-UPS ES550 (BE550G) on Windows 10 PC with Power Chute Personal 3.0.2 software. But there is NO "Self Test" icon in the PowerChute Monitor System section.
How do I run a self test (or manual test) on this unit? Is it supposed to work with Windows 10 and 3.0.2 PowerChute?

Thanks everyone for the help. I'm replacing the unit with a newer model (BE600M1). The older one wouldn't hold the power for desktop for a second when I manually unplugged it from the wall. It shut down almost immediately.

Hi,
You can run a self-test by holding down the power button for 2 to 3 seconds. The button will begin to flash and change back to solid once the test has completed. the other option is to power down the UPS and then restart it. The UPS performs a self-test each time it is powered on.

The power off and then restart of the Back-UPS worked fine with blinking green light for awhile.
Is there a way to tell how old the battery is? I can't find the receipt. But the
serial number on the back is 4B0940PS9499. Or maybe it is 4809...

Hi John,
The Back UPS was manufactured in 2009. If the battery has not previously been replaced, the battery in the UPS will be 10 years old.
If the battery has previously been replaced, remove the battery from the UPS. There will be a sticker on the battery with the serial number on it. If you send me the battery serial number, I will be able to tell you how the battery is.
Regards,
Tom
