I have this APC Battery Backup plus Surge Protection battery. And, suddenly, it had turned off. When I turned it back on, it has been emitting a high pitched, annoying, sound. Does anyone know how to make it stop? everything I hooked it up to is working fine, it just won't stop making the noise. If it helps, the power button keeps flashing green, too. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure how old it is. I have the FOC Reg. No. and I have the UPS Listed stuff. Not sure if this will help, but hopefully it will.
FOC Reg. No. 1XHUSA-25571-XP-N
UPS Listed 42C2
Also, one of the bar codes has this: B350U
The other one has: AB0335220605

Hi Nick,
It would help as well if you can give us the exact model number of your UPS and how old it is. One easy way to turn off the annoying sound is to turn the UPS off and unplug it. Also, have you tried unplugging the unit while it is Online? Does it run on battery or does it drop the load?

Based from your post the model number of your UPS is BE350U and it was manufactured on the 35th week of 2003 which makes the UPS 8 years old already. If you have a flashing green online LED with a constant tone it means that there is a bad battery.
Have you ever replaced the battery on this unit?

I don't believe we have (this is my family's computer) changed the battery yet. But would I need to get a new battery for it?
