I replaced my battery today after 3 years and suddenly the UPS is no longer connected to AC. After I first replaced the battery I ran a self test and it passed. I then shut down the PC and walked away. Several hours later my net went dead and when I checked ot see what was happening I noticed that the UPS was off. I turned it on and the On Line light flashed and then went out but the battery light stayed on.
I tried swapping to a different outlet and even putting the old battery back in but it refuses to connect to AC.

I found the manual for the UPS and figured out the issue - I had narrowed the band on the voltage sensitivity too much and it caused it to kick over to battery. Evidently my voltage goes up at night

Sometimes at night when power demand is lower, utility voltage can creep up and cause this, but I'm glad you figured out the issue.
Thanks,
Shanon

The waveform must not be very uniform either as the Power chute Software never reported a voltage above 124 but setting the overvoltage at 128 it still tripped.
I thought about it though and realized that just about everything these days is auto switching between 120 and 240 so I am not sure if overvolatge really matter
