BackUPs Pro (BX1500M) appears to be operating properly, but has a repeating (every 2-3 secs) faint chime tone. The mute button does not block this chime tone. It only goes away if I completely shutdown the UPS. The User Guide explains various beeps, but nothing about a "chime" tone. Running with iMac Pro (macOS Sequoia 15.1). No APC software running. Any suggestions welcome.

Yes, there is a lot of background “hum” — I have the UPS, the iMac Pro & a 2nd monitor, three external drives, two routers, cable modem. When I turn off the UPS, the chime stops. The only devices with a speaker are the iMac Pro and the 2nd monitor. They have been in the office long before the UPS arrived; I never heard the chime before I fired up the new UPS the first time.
Thank you for helping with this. I think I’ll let it go and learn to live with this chime. I’m approaching an age when I’ll likely lose enough hearing in that range that I won’t notice it anymore. 😜😜

Are there any error codes displayed by the system?!? When the system chimes are there any corresponding LED / LCD indicators happening at the same time?
Make a short video and provide a link for review. 👍

No error codes; the UPS appears to be working normally/properly. I can cycle through the front panel display and all looks nominal. But still the "chime" (very faint) about every 2 seconds. (This is not the "chirp" associated with notification of running on battery, errors, etc.)

Hi John,
A short video of this chime sound would be very helpful. Please relay the link to view the video once available. 👍

I've tried to make a video, but the sound is so faint that even on full volume it is just barely noticeable over background levels. I'm no longer certain the sound comes from the UPS; though the UPS is the only new item on my office setup and that's when i first noticed the sound.
It is so faint that I have decided to learn to tune it out.
You can attempt to hear the tone that's driving me crazy at this (Youtube) link:

Hi John,
You’ll need to change video from private to public so it can be viewed. 👍🤣

Hi John,
There is a lot of background noise in the room. What electronic devices are present inside?!?
You can easily tell if it’s the UPS just turn it off and move it to another room. Obviously if you still hear the sound it’s something in the room.
What ever is making that 3-4 chiming noise must be something that has a speaker more specifically a low battery indicator alarm: clock, watch, radio, cell, portable radio, walky talky, GPS, etc.
