What browser are you seeing this problem on?!? What are the results using another web browser such as Chrome, Fire Fox, Edge, etc?
What specific version of Power Chute are you using?
Also show me what the settings are defined to for history, cache, cookies, etc.

Hi, I normally use Opera, but I've tried also chrome (all updated to the last version on windows 11) and the issue persist. You can select disable all sound, but when you reboot the pc the sounds are still enabled, also on the menu. I use PowerChute Serial Shutdown Agent 1.3.0.301, I wasn't having those issues with the old Powerchute version program installed on Windows 10, not via browser. The settings of history cache and cookies are irrelevant, they are all default, I haven't changed.

Suggest you use PCPE in the interim and submit a service request with APC Technical Support to help identify root cause and report back the outcome.
You’ll need to provide the UPS SKU, Serial number, receipt, and brief description of the problem and any relevant logs from both UPS / PCSS.

I've tried to write on the contact form...not working, technical difficulties. Tried on the chat...not working...this support is a joke. Powerchute personal edition was working fine. Why change it to this browser app....

It appears the entire APC / SE site is currently under maintenance as such you’ll need to wait until that’s completed.
In the interim install PCPE and make the changes required and carry on.

Your issue is you have the checkbox 'Disable Alarm when PC is off or hibernating' enabled. This will disable alarm when your OS is initiating shutdown, hibernate, or sleep. And the alarm is enabled again when the OS is starting up / resuming. This ignores the current setting on the UPS.
The 'Audible Alarm' checkbox is just a toggle reflecting the current UPS setting and switching the alarm on the UPS on/off immediately. It's not a PowerChute preference. I fully understand the confusion. This should have better UI and documentation.
Anyway, you can 'fix' your issue by disabling the 'Disable Alarm when PC is off or hibernating' checkbox. The obvious downside is you have to remember yourself to manually disable the alarm when you don't want to be disturbed by UPS alarms during nighttime when your PC is off.
Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks I will try it...but you are saying that either I disable all the sound when the pc is off or I disable the sound of the ups when the pc is on? That's a joke...Why do they have to change? powerchute personal edition was working fine... anyway thanks.
