Back-UPS HS 500 factory reset

Hi !

How can I reset HS 500 to true factory settings - I mean, no UPS name, default username/password, etc. I did set a name to my UPS and now web interface only works in IE (it was working in safari just fine, before I set the name). I'd like to erase all configuration and return it to factory state, but reset button or reset from web UI does not erase UPS name. Any ideas how to do complete reset ?

The configuration page was working in Safari, I used my ipad to toggle power outlets, until I named the UPS.

Hi Baxyp,

I'd be surprised if the configuration page worked in Safari, even before you set the UPS name. Please see [this thread|http://forums.apc.com/spaces/7/ups-management-devices-powerchute-software/forums/general/7795/new-me...] for information on how to use the BackUPS HS 500 with other browsers. You can try using GreaseKit to run the script there in Safari, or use Firefox.
