Hi
My new Back-UPS ES 700G sometimes makes a continuous tone without lights and all connected devices lose power. I have to switch the UPS off and on again and then it'll run normally for days/weeks until the next time it happens. The Powerchute screens give no clue as to what has happened - everything appears normal. I've attached screenshots. If I run a self-diagnosis test, it fails but seems to be OK when I boot up and it runs it itself. I had similar problem with my old UPS and thought it was the battery failing, I decided to replace it with a newer model because the battery replacement wasn't good value. Can anyone help please?manual self test after rebooting

If the unit is brand new I would encourage you to reach out to APC Technical Support. Provide them the purchase receipt, serial number, and description of the problem.
A continuous tone without any LED indicators means either a bad / disconnected battery. To an overload on the connected outputs of the unit.
If neither is the problem than it leaves the unit as being faulty. There are various models of APC UPS that are not supported by the PCSS software as such the (Self Test) may fail when initiated.
You can validate this by installing the legacy PCPE Software and repeating the same test. More than likely the manual initiated self test will pass once invoked.
If on the other hand both PCSS & PCPE Software indicates a fail during the manual self test. This indicates the unit is faulty and something in the POST is bad.
Let us know what you see using PCPE and your interaction with APC Technical Support! ๐
