My PC wasn't switched on for a month since I was out of station.
After I switched on my PC this week(After I returned), the taskbar notified my system(Windows XP) is on "AC Power"
The next day, the icon was not displayed so I switched off the power supply from where the UPS power cable is plugged. The next thing I know- The PC shuts down immediately. Although the amber light of the UPS still flashes and the UPS beeps. Is it a battery problem? I've purchased it exactly 1year and four months ago. The warranty is for 2 years. Can anyone please help?
PS: I have charged the UPS for 20 hrs with all plugs to it's outlet removed. Still it doesn't work

hi
what other items do you have plugged into the UPS battery back up outlets? if you turn on the UPS and plug a lamp into a battery back up outlet and pull the plug from the wall, does the lamp stay on?
you could try checking the battery compartment and reconnecting the battery as well before doing the above test. make sure to turn the UPS off and unplug it from the wall before doing that though.
