Today, it has happened twice ... once without a beep, and once with a beep. It reboots my computer, and I am worried for my computer's health! Why would it be doing this? I have the computer plugged into the battery backup / surge protection portion. As for the # on the bottom, The Top # is BE350R and the bottom is 3B0708X05307. Any help GREATLY appreciated.

Hi Tannerj,
Sorry for the delayed reply.
If this UPS has worked fine before with your computer and nothing has been changed on the configuration(i mean nothing added attached load to the unit), then i would say that this is a battery issue. I would also like to suggest you to have the software installed using the right cable that comes with the unit. It's part number is 940-0127 and you may download the [PowerChute Personal Edition|http://www.apc.com/tools/download/index.cfm] and install it for additional monitoring on your UPS.
You may also get some other ideas as to why your [computer reboots unexpectedly when connected to a Back UPS unit|http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20/kw/unexpected%20reboot].

Hi Tannerj,
I would like to ask couple of question for better understanding of the situation.
-Can you tell me if the UPS LED is lit when it beeps?
-Has the UPS working fine and provides backup power to the load attached?
-Have you ever replaced the battery of the unit?

answers below!
-Can you tell me if the UPS LED is lit when it beeps?
== I can't tell because it is under my desk and it happens without warning.
-Has the UPS working fine and provides backup power to the load attached?
== I don't understand this question. Do you mean when the power goes out, does it keep the computer on? If so, I'm not sure. All I know is that now, even though everything else in my house is powered and fine, the computer shuts off after it beeps once. It might even be a
-Have you ever replaced the battery of the unit?
== no. Since I'm not losing power though, it shouldn't be a battery issue though, right?

here is another thing - the electricity went off in our house for about 15 seconds and everything blinked ... but the computer stayed on the whole time! Hopefully this helps us in determining what is going on, but this really perplexes me. Any help greatly appreciated!
