I was getting the warning Back-UPS BX1000G is not passing a self test as ran by the PowerChute software ver. 3.0.2 I replaced the battery immediately with an original APC battery, it will not pass a self test. The battery shows being charged at 100% and has time remaining shown while on battery. We reseated it multiple times and still no luck. Any ideas why it shows good, but will not pass a test?

Hmm, so could just be the UPS and its ability detect the battery I guess -

I would let it charge at least 24 hours, even if it already says 100%, and then re-try. Also, how much load is on the UPS?

The new battery has been installed over a week, the battery symbol with an "X" is flashing on the unit. The load is 195-225 and shows 28 minutes remaining on battery. Maybe the unit is bad.

When the replace battery LED is flashing, it means the battery is disconnected versus telling you to replace it. Have you double checked the physical connections to the battery? Are you able to measure the DC voltage on the battery? I ask because if it is truly securely connected, this means to me the the voltage may be too low to read and so the UPS cannot see it.
Another test to see if this is a fault with the UPS rather than the battery is to verify the battery connection and then plug a non critical load into the UPS's battery back up outlets (like a lamp or something) and pull the AC power plug from the wall to see if the UPS turns off and/or switches to battery. If it switches to battery and runs off battery but still says the battery is disconnected, well then I'd think it is a fault with the UPS incorrectly reporting the battery is disconnected.

Thank you for the help.
Yes, it switched to battery just fine and kept running as it should.
