Back-UPS 700 not turning off

Hello everyone.

I have this product since a couple years at most, never had problems until this night. I used my PC all day without troubles but when i turned both the pc and the unit off i noticed that the unit didn't make a single sound, not even one "beep", and instead acted like it was starting up. To completely shut it down i had to turn off the power source and then the unit. 

Is my unit dieing? Or did i make a major mess-up without noticing?

Hi,

When powering down the UPS you should press and hold the power button in until the UPS beeps and switches off. If the unit does not beep after holding teh button for 6 seconds the UPS will run a self-test and remain on.
