I have a dual boot system both with Win7 Ultimate.
APC Back-UPS Pro BR 1000
When installing PowerChute Personal Edition 3.02 everything goes fine. Running the program GUI I see that it doesn't have the Self Test tab nor Energy Useage tab in the Monitor System column. I ran a manual self test and the backup seems to be working fine but would like to see what the wattage used in the GUI. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but with same results.
I have the software installed correctly on a different system connected to Back-UPS Pro BR 1500.
Any suggestions?
Would it be better to use PowerChute Business?

Sorry that you had problems with your APC unit but I don't think that this subject thread is the place to flame!!!!!
For your information, the two new APC units that I purchased are replacing Cyberpower units which were nothing more than a surge protector!!! Two of my towers are Dell's that require a sinewave battery system so I purchased the Cyberpower units to save a buck. Unfortunately they never kept the systems running so they are now at Goodwill.
I do agree that it would seem that the PowerChute software needs updating but it does work well on all the other systems (4) that I have it installed on and I'm posting here since this is a unique situation.
Good Luck,
Steve

Steve,
Sorry you got caught up in the other Steve's rant. To answer your question, PowerChute Personal Edition will offer the features / tabs available based on the UPS model and firmware. If you provide the exact model information found on the bar code sticker on the back or bottom of the unit I will be happy to provide what features should be available.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience and we thank you for your support!

Hi Bill,
No problem! We have to deal with Trolls everywhere.
The unit is a BR1000MS, Serial #3B1806X29420, Back UPS Pro BR1000.

Hi,
The BR1000MS with PCBE 3.0.2 offers the ability to run a self-test by selecting Run Self-Test
To view the wattage go to Current Status
The unit does not have master outlet/s so the Energy management feature is unavailable.

Steve,
The features display are connect for a NS700MC AKA BN700MC. The unit has a master outlet and controlled outlets so it offers Energy Management but it the UPS does not offer the ability to run a self-test from the software. Also, the UPS provides estimated run-time but it does not provide load information.
