My UPS is for my entertainment center, with a TV, a receiver, and a Roku attached to it. It will sometimes emit a tone for several seconds and the light will turn red, then it will stop and the light will turn green. And I won't hear it again for another few hours. Power to the devices is never interrupted.
It took a long time to figure out the tone was coming from the UPS because it sounded for so short a time.
Battery issue? Time to replace the unit? Or something that can be fixed?
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
I do not think that your unit needs a new battery a battery replace warning would be a constant tone. The UPS may be too sensitive and you can adjust that setting. Some equipment will tolerage a certain drop in voltage the UPS depending on its sensitivity will go on battery momentarily in cases of a spike or drop in voltage
See user guide of your unit for more details
